What if you had to Give up one of Your Senses?

What if you had to give up one of your senses? What sense would you give up and why? I will start out with the fact that I would not want to give up any of my senses. I will also add that I would never give up my ability to see or hear. I know that many people are able to turn their lives into great lives without the ability to see or hear but I just don’t think I could do it. Especially sight. I am almost certain that I couldn’t make it without the ability to see. I’m already colorblind and that’s hard enough and already prevents me from doing many things that I would love to do. If I had to give up one of my senses I would give up my sense of smell. To me that is the most expendable sense. I mean I would miss it but at the same time would find it easier to part with than any of my other senses. I actually don’t even feel it would be that difficult to go with out the sense of smell. In some cases it would actually be beneficial to not have a sense of smell. How many times have you smelled some dog crap and completely grossed you out. Other than if your house was on fire or if you were an Indian tracker I cant think of a reason why smelling anything would be necessary. Its more of a luxury sense than a required one. And as everyone knows, luxury items are the first to go at all times. The only other sense that I can even think about loosing would be my sense of taste but as much as I love to eat that might just be the hardest to part with.

What if you Could have any Super Heroes Powers?

What if somebody offered you one super heroes power? What super powers would you choose and why? Woah! My dream blog! Well this is one of the simplest questions but by far the most difficult to answer. Not only is there a wide variety of super powers but each one has their own positives and negatives. It would be awesome to have Spiderman’s web shooting abilities but it would be a lot cooler to have Wolverines powers. To me, this question can’t be answered by what your favorite power is but what you are going to be using your power for. For example, if shooting webs is my favorite power and I plan on fighting crime. Well there is only one problem. I live in Arlington, Tennessee and there wouldn’t be a need for web shooting because there wouldn’t be a single building for me to swing from to another building. That’s like having Aquaman’s powers but living in somewhere in Nebraska. So the first thing I would do before picking a power would be to pick what I would be doing with it. Personally, I would want to use my powers to better the world and have fun. That leaves me a couple of options. I could have Wolverines powers. Ability to heal and draw blades at anytime would definitely be fun but in the end I would have to pick Superman’s powers. That guy has everything. He can easily disguise himself and has every power known to man. I mean its not even fair to be superman. He can do it all. I would use super strength and eye lasers and flying. Man, just thinking about it makes me jealous.

What if You Won the Lottery?(Cash prize. Not stones)

If I won the lottery I would be stoked. I know that’s how everyone feels but it would be a jaw dropping experience for me. There is so much that I would do with the money. No matter how much the money was ten percent of that would go to god. After that I would make sure that my family was comfortable for the rest of our lives and with the rest of the money I would use for the good of mankind. I would donate to charities and I would start up businesses which would in return give me revenue but at the same time open up jobs for other people which would be a big help because the world is in such a need for jobs at this time with the global economy coming down. I would go to great lengths to try and make everyone who has helped me out in life to make their lives a little better. With the large sum of extra money I would be able to greatly benefit not only my life but many others as well. There really isn’t much you can argue with this topic. I mean there is no downside to winning the lottery. At least a monetary lottery. Now if I won the lottery that in the end you get stoned to death then this blog would have gone a lot different. If I won that lottery then I would try my hardest to escape the outcome and remove myself from the situation entirely. But for the sake of clarity lets go back to the beginning. If I won a monetary lottery of a large sum of money I would do as stated above with it.

What if Marijuana was Legal?

If marijuana(which will be referred to as weed from this point on) was legal I can honestly say that I feel the world would be a better place. After that first sentence I already know that I have split up my audience into two groups. The ones that are completely with me and the ones that are completely against me. I am making my goal for this blog that by the end all readers are with me. For those of you who believe weed is only a negative then hear me out at least. When you hear stories about people smoking weed how many of them end tragically? I’m not talking about how many of them end badly because as of right now weed is illegal so everyone who uses it runs the risk of a run in with Johnny law. I am just talking about something tragic that happens due to weed. Of all my nineteen(coming up on twenty) years on this planet I have never heard of anyone dying because of the use of weed. Back to the point of weed making the world a happier place. Weed is already used to make the lives of cancer patients more enjoyable and it helps many patients suffering from a wide variety of other diseases. When someone smokes weed its like all their worries aren’t pilled on top of them anymore and they can actually breath a little bit and not stress out so much about things. This helps tremendously when people think that there is no way out. Weed helps people cope. It can also be used as a way to make friends. I mean nobody smokes weed alone. Now, you can say what you want about weed users but they are by far the happiest people I know.
If no one knew how to lie would the world be a better place? In my opinion, the world would be a much darker place if no one knew how to lie. I’m not saying that lies make the world better or brighter by any stretch of the imagination. All I am saying is that the world would be darker. For example, how many times have you thought something negative about someone and held it in? How many times have you believed one thing and told somebody something else simply because you didn’t want anybodies feelings hurt? Now, as you already know lies are not always to keep somebody from getting their feelings hurt. It is probable that the majority of lies are to excuse something. For example, a criminal lies about robbing someone or a murderer lies about killing someone. It is times like this that the ability of vocalizing false statements becomes a nuisance to society rather than a polite gesture. So how do you decide which world is better( with or without lies)? To me it comes down to the simple fact that you either want to live with the blunt truth one-hundred percent of the time. By blunt truth I mean just that. Everyone will be completely forward with everything, the good, the bad, and even the ugly. Or there is the option to live in an imperfect world where every now and then someone gets away with something and people are buffers between their thoughts about their perception of others. As for me I would prefer the imperfect world over the blunt truth. It makes life a little more fun. That’s my choice and its not for everyone but it suites me. So, in the words of Fleetwood Mac, tell me lies, tell me lies, tell me sweet little lies.

What If the World was Taken Over by Zombies?

If the entire world was taken over by zombies I am fairly certain that I would know exactly what to do. With all the box office hits, and blunders, about the living dead I would bet that the majority of people would also agree that a world over run by zombies would be completely manageable. Of course, the first thing necessary for survival would be able to group all non-zombies together because strength comes in numbers. The next thing would be to equip survivors with weapons and materials to form a blockade. I know what your thinking, “How do you do that when the Earth is covered in flesh eating creatures?” Well, that’s an easy one. As Darwin and Murray(Bill Murray, in the action film Zombieland) found that blending in with the environment makes you better suited than something that wasn’t. So that’s settled then. After colonizing the survivors it would be time to work on the extinction of the zombie race. Unlike most villainous monsters, Zombies can be killed fairly easily. It helps that they are not the most intelligent creatures of all time also. At the same time there will also be a need to reproduce amongst the survivors. Over time the world would gradually gain normality until so much time had past that Zombies were nothing more than a couple of chapters in a history book. It would be difficult and more of a lengthy process than just doing what I said though. There isn’t many steps to the plan but each step would take quite sometime to complete. Having said all of this and thinking about all the things that could happen I believe that the human race could fight off and rebuild its population against that of an unintelligent race like that of the Zombie.

What if you knew the day you were going to die?

Death is something we all must face. Some die old and gray and others young and unexpectedly. Nonetheless, well all die. That is just something we must accept. My question is if you knew the day of your death would you live your life differently. Would knowing your death date make the world a better place? I cannot speak for everyone but as for myself, I would live every moment up until that time to the fullest. I would not have lazy days where I just laid around all day and did nothing. I would spend as much time with loved ones as I could and not take anything for granted. I would make sure that my time on Earth was spent doing things I love with the people that mean the most. I would try something new everyday and try to shrug the bad things aside the best I could. It seems as if I would live a better life having known my expiration date but like all things, there would be its downfalls. Knowing your death date would make you realize that your time is limited and you should make the best of it but at the same time it steals away from the beauty of the unknown. One thing about life that is so great is that you never know what turns lie before you. You think you have everything planned out and then out of nowhere life happens and your left there to deal with it. As frustrating as it may be sometimes that's just life. So in a nutshell, if I knew the day of my death I would live life to the fullest and notice the smaller things rather than over look them as I do most of the time now but be forced to do so with the burden of a time limit.
